Introducing 42 Station Road

FAQs

Station Road is a brand new site comprising 98 one, two and three-bedroom flats with private balcony in a good location. The homes will be built to the same high standard as proposed for our properties on Eastfields. As you are in a later phase of the Eastfields regeneration, you could be waiting up to 5+ years for your new home. By moving to Station Road you will get your new home much sooner - the flats are due to be ready in 2025.
No, this is completely optional. If you would prefer to stay on Eastfields you will be allocated a home in one of the later phases as originally discussed.
No, the development at Station Road does not have parking, but there are great public transport connections. Colliers Wood underground station is less than 10 minutes’ walk away and there are lots of local buses linking you to Wimbledon and other areas. There will be drop off parking areas for deliveries and blue badge parking (this will not be assigned to residents)
There is a primary and secondary school within walking distance of 42 Station Road and lots of great places to visit with children. Morden Hall Park (www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/london/morden-hall-park) and Deen City Farm (www.deencityfarm.co.uk) are close by.
The Polka Theatre (polkatheatre.com) is a short bus ride away, it specialises in children’s theatre. Colliers Wood Library is less than a 10-minute walk away, it is ideal for studying, borrowing new books and has a programme of events such as Storytime and craft workshops.
We will ask you to complete a housing needs form, this will help us understand what size home you need and if any adaptations are required. We will then be able to allocate you a home at 42 Station Road.
It is possible that more people are interested than we have homes for. If this happens we will create a local lettings plan in conjunction with the local authority and the Eastfields Steering Group. This will identify how we will prioritise people for homes on Station Road. This may not be necessary however, there are 98 new homes on the site.
Yes, we will arrange for an occupational therapist to assess you and they will make recommendations for any adaptations that are needed in your new home.
You are entitled to the same Merton resident’s offer. This means when you move you will get a homeloss payment (currently £7,800), a disturbance payment of £3,000 and we will arrange and cover the cost of your removals. If you require extra support, please speak to Doreen Jones, your Regeneration Manager.
We know that people’s situations can change and that closer to the time you may decide that you would prefer to stay on Eastfields. We can accommodate this, just let us know if your circumstances change as soon as you can.
If you would like more information about the Station Road development, please contact your Regeneration Manager.
